This residential, quiet area in Northern Rome includes the (now repurposed) Villaggio Olimpico, the athletes’ village from the Rome Olympics in 1960, and it’s a destination for lovers of contemporary architecture thanks to the nearby Bridge of Music and the adjoined Maxxi Museum, designed by the late Zaha Hadid.

At the Auditorium Parco della Musica, made by archistar Renzo Piano, you will not only find pop, rock or jazz events, as well as exhibitions and film festivals.

Here is where the headquarters for Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (the National Academy of St. Cecilia) are: their Orchestra and Choir are among the most famous in the world, and they have been at the forefront for events intended to bring children closer to classical music.
